Time-Post.com, Inc. e-mail accounts are available for any domain residing on the Time-Post.com, Inc. servers. These e-mail accounts are very flexible, allowing any number of users for a domain, multiple aliasing for users, full access (including administration) from a standard web browser and full POP3/IMAP4 access. An initial account for your domain needs to be set up by Time-Post.com, Inc. and after that additional accounts can be set up, changed and removed by your domain administrator or Time-Post.com, Inc. POP3/IMAP4 Clients Most clients access their e-mail accounts through standard POP3/IMAP4 clients such as Microsoft Outlook (Express), NetScape Messenger or any other standard POP3/IMAP4 client. Setting up one of these e-mail clients to access your e-mail account on the Time-Post.com, Inc. server is very simple and only requires that you know the name of your e-mail server and your account name and password. Both of these items are initially defined by Time-Post.com, Inc. when you sign up for our e-mail services. Your e-mail server name is usually called "mail.yourdomain.com", where "yourdomain.com" is your actual domain name (e.g. Time-Post.com). Although Time-Post.com, Inc. normally uses the initial of your first name and your full last name for your account name and your initial password these are individually assigned and can be anything you like. Please let your account representative know of any changes you would like when requesting account setups. Note Time-Post.com, Inc. protects its mail servers from allowing illegal sending of messages through it. Therefore in order to access your e-mail account information with a POP3/IMAP4 client you must include your Time-Post.com, Inc. e-mail account name and password in your client for both Incoming and Outgoing Mail server settings . Then each time the client connects to the Time-Post.com, Inc. e-mail server the client will log on and allow mail retrieval and sending. Web Access Our e-mail server allows you full access to your e-mail from any web browser. You can read any existing e-mail, create and send new e-mail and modify your account settings from the web. If you are an administrator for your domain you can also add, delete and modify user accounts and aliases from the web. To access your account on the server address your browser to the mail server. The mail server is usually addressed at "http://mail.yourdomain.com:8383", where "yourdomain.com" is your actual domain name (e.g. Time-Post.com). Note you must enter the http:// as most browsers do not handle the port address (:8383) properly. Once you have completed using your account from the Web interface make sure you click on the "Logoff" button. |
